Historical FindThe Trade
Cabinet Brut was founded in 1952 by Édouard Marius Favre, a Geneva-based geologist who believed that the finest specimens belonged not in vaults, but in the hands of those who would cherish them.
We trade exclusively through private consultation. Each acquisition is documented with full geological provenance, collecting history, and crystallographic analysis. We do not sell on consignment. We do not auction. We match.
The Process
We begin with a conversation. We listen to what you seek, understand the space or context, and share what we know from our inventory and network.
Selected specimens are presented privately — in person when possible, or via secure digital viewing with full documentation and high-resolution imaging.
Acquisition is handled with white-glove care. Specimens travel in custom-molded foam and archival materials, insured at full assessed value, documented at every step.
Private Consultations
Cabinet Brut operates by appointment and invitation. If you seek a specimen for a private collection, institutional display, or architectural commission, we invite you to reach out.
